Illustrations created for an exhibition based on memories of the Caldewgate Campus of the University of Cumbria: a confrontational tutorial; a student so fired up by creative energy that sparks jumped from her fingertips; the first tentative experiments in live art; explorations of gender politics; Kitty Harrison, a student with vivid memories of being headmistress here during the war; a tribute to the“Flam," a club night that achieved the hitherto impossible of getting Carlisle dancing to Free jazz ; the first performance of the band No Soap No Radio; and “Life room” - a recollection of the room where I spent the years 1991-1998
